Biography

Rob Richardson is an Instructor in The Beacom College of Computer & Cyber Sciences. He has experience teaching in networking, databases, and cybersecurity, with courses in software security and operating environments. Richardson's teaching philosophy revolves around narrative storytelling, critical thinking, practical applications, and real-world environments.

A hacker since the early BBS era in the 1980s, Richardson’s interests are wide-ranging, preferring hardware to software. His research interests include hacking vehicles, industrial controls, additive manufacturing, and IoT devices. Additionally, previously working as a professional archaeologist has inspired an interest in the history and evolution of technology and its impact on technology.
